तारे ज़मीन पर (Stars on Earth) - Movie Review

A international blockbuster, this Indian movie in Hindi shows an artistic kid 'Ishaan', who is unable to cope up with studies and is sent to a boarding school after he bunks school. A new art teacher realizes that he has dyslexia and helps by tutoring him personally with appropriate teaching methods. The movie shows the complex family dynamics present in an Indian society and the impact of the presence of a 'different learning ability' in one of its members. (I would stress on it not being a learning 'disability' due to the same reason of 'normal' being subjective.)

The roles have been played very well, and the depiction of the illness is accurate. It's a movie that leaves few without tears. A worth watch!
